In a faitout or a medium pot, over medium heat, heat oil et cook shallots for 5 minutes stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Add garlic and cook 2 minutes on low heat.
Add tomatoes and crush them with a potato masher. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 Minutes. Add cream and cook 10 Minutes.
In the meantime: Cook the fettucini according to the instructions on the package.
Add salt and pepper to taste, parsley and basil en cook 2 Minutes.
Coat pasta with sauce and sprinkle each serving with Parmesan cheese.
