In a large saucepan, cook the fettuccine and the peas in plenty of boiling salted water. Drain and reserve.
In the same saucepan used to cook the pasta, heat the oil over low heat and cook the onion 5 Minutes. Add the chicken broth and ham and bring to a boil.
Perfectly mix the cornstarch and cream with a small whisk, add to the saucepan and cook 1 Minutes. Add the fettuccine, peas and half of the cheese and simmer 1 to 2 minutes stirring constantly.
Serve immediately sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper and remaining of parmesan.
