Instant Pot Pilaf Rice

A Pilaf Rice prepared in less time with the same delicious flavor.

 1 tbsp butter
 1 onion finely chopped
 1 cup(200 g) long grain white rice
 1 1/2 cup unsalted chicken broth
 A pinch of ground black pepper
 1 tsp salt ( omit if using salted broth)
 1 bay leave

Select the sauté program and set 10 minutes at medium. Without waiting, melt the butter and cook the onion for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Add the rice and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly until the rice is shiny. Press cancel.

Add broth, pepper and salt if using and stir. Place the bay leaf on the preparation. Select "manual or pressure", set 8 minutes with "keep warm at on". Secure the lid on with the pressure release button to sealing. Press on "start".

When the end of cooking alarm sounds, wait 10 minutes and release pressure. Stir gently with a spatula before servinr.
