This popular vinaigrette has a refreshing taste. The dried onions lends it a delicate, slightly sweet flavor. Ideally, prepare it at least an hour before serving to allow  time for the onions to rehydrate. It will keep for 3 days in the refrigerator.

 1 cup mayonnaise
 1 cup buttermilk, stirred before measuring
 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
 2 teaspoons dried flaked onion
 A pinch of salt

In a bowl, pour buttermilk over mayonnaise and whisk until combined.

Add parsley, dried onion and salt and whisk until homogeneous. Let rest 1 hour before serving.
