Bannock bread is popular among natives people and it is with my friend Marie-Lucienne Saganash that I learned hot to make it

 375 g (3 cups) all-purpose flour
 1 tbsp baking powder
 1 tsp salt
 1 ¼ cup plus 2 tbsp water

Set the oven rack in the lower third of the oven. Preheat oven at 400°F. Grease a sheet pan.

In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Mix in water and stirring with a wooden spoon. Stop mixing as soon as it forms a ball. If needed add 1 to 2 tbsp of water.

Put the ball of dough on the sheet and bake about 30 Minutes until the bread is golden and crusty.
